Bagumbayan Vice presidential candidate Bayani Fernando said poor engineering and incompetence of government officials are the main cause of brownouts.
In the news, Metro Manila and some provinces in Luzon and have gone through a series of two- to three-hour brownouts everyday for the past few weeks after the 540-megawatt (MW) Limay combined cycle power plant in Bataan and the Malampaya gas power plant were shut down for maintenance.

BAGUIO CITY – Bagumbayan vice presidential candidate and former MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando disclosed yesterday his plans to push for a mass transport system which he said is the key to boost the country’s economy.
Bayani made this statement before city officials, local leaders and residents of Baguio City during the celebration of ‘Penagbenga’ or the famous flower festival here in the city of Pines.

Isa sa mga bibigyang pansin ni Bagumbayan VicePresidential Candidate Bayani Fernando ay ang pagpapataas ng mga sweldo ng mga kawani ng lokal na pamahalaan na hanggang sa ngayon ay hindi nadaragdagan sa kabila ng pagtaas ng mga bilihin.
Ayon kay Bayani, maraming mga empleyado ng mga munisipalidad at lungsod na hanggang sa ngayon ay hindi sapatang kinikita dahil sa maliit ang Internal Revenue Allotment o IRA na tinatanggap ng munisipalidad o di kaya’y hindi binibigyang prayoridad ng mga mayor o ng konseho. |
